Ammar is a seasoned litigator with a focus on high-stakes commercial disputes, white-collar crime, and investigations. With nearly a decade of experience acting for corporates, professionals, and founders, he brings a sharp strategic lens to conflict resolution and crisis management.

He has acted for clients across a range of contentious matters from shareholder and director disputes, fraud and asset recovery, regulatory breaches and internal investigations.
Ammar has also been instructed in some of the most complex and high-profile cases in recent years, including cross-border probes involving the US Department of Justice, the 1MDB investigations, the Wirecard scandal, and more recently the investigations into a former political officeholder and prominent businessman.

In parallel, Ammar brings a strong track record in healthcare-related disputes and advisory. He has advised doctors and medical institutions on SMC proceedings, medical negligence claims, patient confidentiality breaches, internal investigations, and reputational risk. His ability to bridge legal rigour with sectoral insight makes him a trusted advisor to professionals navigating an increasingly regulated and reputationally sensitive environment.

As Co-Head of both the firm’s Disputes and Healthcare Practices, Ammar plays a key role in shaping litigation strategy and sector-specific legal offerings. His approach combines courtroom credibility with commercial clarity, and is underpinned by a commitment to client care, mentoring, and legal innovation.

He is also an accredited mediator and mediation advocate, and actively contributes to the legal community through various standing committees, pro bono initiatives and mentorship programmes.
