Raj Joshua Thomas, one of the founding partners at Tang Thomas LLC, has been appointed a Nominated Member of Parliament (NMP) with effect from 21 January 2021.
Joshua is part of the 15th batch of NMPs to be appointed to the Singapore Parliament.
Nominated Members of Parliament – Nominated members of parliament are appointed individuals who have rendered distinguished public service, brought honour to Singapore or excelled in certain fields such as business, labour movement or law. NMPs are expected to reflect as wide a range of independent and non-partisan views in Parliament.
Joshua has a recognised practice focused on commercial litigation and white-collar criminal cases. Prior to co-founding Tang Thomas LLC, Joshua was the CEO of full service security company TwinRock Pte Ltd, and practiced law at Allen & Gledhill LLP before that. Joshua started his career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
