David specialises in corporate and commercial matters, employment law and private client advisory. He is also a key member of the firm’s China Desk. 

He has experience across a broad range of commercial transactions, including bilateral and club loans, syndicated lending, onshore-offshore financing, real estate financing and sustainability-linked financing. 

Prior to joining Tang Thomas, David was part of a Bank 1-ranked banking and finance practice in one of Singapore’s largest law firms.  

David holds a Bachelor of Laws from Singapore Management University and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 2023.

• Advised a club of lenders on S$375,000,000 facilities to finance the acquisition via collective sale and redevelopment of a condominium in Singapore.

• Advised a Singapore multinational bank on S$133,000,000 term and revolving loan facilities to refinance the development of a data centre in Singapore.

• Advised a Singapore multinational bank on CNH35,000,000 offshore term loan facility to refinance existing borrowers relating to a hotel in China.

​

• Advised a middle eastern bank on US$180,000,000 credit facilities in relation to purchase of commodities.
